Volunteer at Ben's Mill

Ben's Mill volunteers are truly the "power" that runs the mill. We depend on and are extremely grateful for every volunteer, their skills and their commitment. Whether the project is big, small or endless (think mowing the grass!), our volunteers do a wonderful job while having fun and contributing to the restoration, maintenance and promotion of the oldest continuously run water powered mill in the state of Vermont.

As a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places and following the Board of Director's desire to preserve and restore the mill we adhere to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Preservation. These standards are being applied to the interior and exterior of Ben's Mill. The mill also has the added value of retaining all the machines and tools used by Ben Thresher and many of his predecessors.

Our 2009 season ended very successfully! Many thanks to all of our volunteers - nothing could have been accomplished without your hard work and dedication.
